“Art has become a way of life and thinking for me; I’ve been practicing it for as long as I can remember. Life itself is the main masterpiece. Sometimes, it seems that death isn’t so frightening if you manage to create a cohesive, meaningful composition. All my works are small pieces of what I truly want to express. There’s always a desire for more. Art allows me to create a world where I can hide from reality. However, I’ve never been interested in art that doesn’t respond to the external world. Sometimes, I feel like a membrane that reacts to the vibrations of the environment, a device that transmits, processes, reflects, and transforms information into imagery.

— Polina Kuznetsova

Where journeys converge, new possibilities emerge. Intersections brings together artists from Rukh Art Hub to explore the transformative power of encounter—those pivotal moments when different paths, cultures, and perspectives meet and reshape one another.

In a world of constant movement and migration, intersections are both physical and metaphysical spaces. They are the crossroads where the familiar meets the unknown, where individual narratives

weave into collective stories, and where artistic dialogue transcends borders. Each work in this exhibition represents a unique meeting point: between tradition and innovation, personal and universal, local and global.

This exhibition invites viewers to consider their own intersections: the crossroads they’ve navigated, the meetings that have changed them, and the new directions that emerge when we remain open to the transformative power of the unexpected encounter.

“The central theme of my art is the female image, which, to me, embodies beauty, tenderness, tranquility, harmony, and love. I capture the beauty of the moment, often featuring figures with closed eyes to evoke a sense of dreaminess and silence. I choose a scale larger than life for my works.”

— Olexander Anokhin

“I enjoy painting the female body. Through the body, I convey various states and depict subjects that are meaningful to me. In my paintings, I blend the real and the unreal, combining painting with graphics and the academic with the minimalist. My paintings have a dreamlike quality.”

— Alina Anokhina

“My art is an existential exploration of the human experience, rooted in the hero’s journey and shaped by my path as a woman, mother and creator. I view the world as a place of shadows and projections-where media, societal norms, and inherited systems distort truth and divide humanity.
My practice reflects this truth-moving through the space between shadow and light, between who we are and who we are becoming.”

— Julia Isabela

“Through my art, I want to highlight how sensual and beautiful a woman is! How multifaceted she is! A woman is a portal for the soul to enter this world. I am convinced that she is the Creator’s most important creation! This is my mission!”

– Tetiana Albitska-Kostomarova

“Painting is my life. I can’t imagine the possibility of living without this fantastic and subtle world, where the soul dwells. I love figurative painting, especially depicting people, their inner world, experiences, and aspirations.”

— Miro Duzinkevych

“For me, the essence of creativity lies in storytelling, in crafting narratives where all characters are interconnected and live their lives within the story’s framework. I forge my own myth, a world teeming with Eros and Thanatos. Magical feminism shapes my worldview. I interpret reality through my own lens and recreate it in my artworks. The central figure is a woman—a potent force, a triumphant deity who can ride animals, wise men, or even the entire world. This portrayal of women, to me, embodies feminism, infused with magic that amplifies feminine qualities from a mythical perspective.”

— Nina Murashkina
