Tata Kolesnik is a Kharkiv-born contemporary artist, who learned to paint in the early 2000s under the tutelage of the great Ukrainian artist Eugen Bikov. At the start of the war, Kolesnik was forced to evacuate from her hometown of Kharkiv to Germany.

KHerwork is deeply influenced by traditional Ukrainian portraiture and iconography, particularly in relation to women and their place in society. Tata uses her work to convey shared experiences and common stories – stories which, since the onset of the invasion, have become inextricably linked with conflict and the struggle for freedom.

Kostiantyn Lyzohub is a Ukrainian artist based in Kharkiv (Eastern Ukraine). At his works  Kostiantyn combines abstract and realistic paintings, while actively using textural possibilities, bringing symbolism and allegory, his philosophical views, compositional techniques, and form to the fore in his art.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine, Lyzohub joined the Kharkiv self-defense troops. For some time, the brigade where he happened to serve and defeat was reorganized into a reconnaissance and sabotage brigade and became equal to the troops of the regular army of Ukraine. At the moment, he continues to serve in one of the Kharkiv military brigades as an art therapist. His main mission is to help soldiers improve their emotional state and cope with the psychological trauma received during the war.

Contemporary Ukrainian painter Anna Bondar (aka Anna DAR) produces her works in a spiritual search for harmony. When the war broke out, Bondar was newly pregnant and living in Kyiv. When she attempted to visit her doctor for a check-in, she discovered that the clinic had been bombed. Initially determined to stay, Bondar decided that she had to leave for the good of her baby, and relocated to Marbella, Spain. There, she has created over 90 new works.

Taras Haida is a Ukrainian artist born in Lviv. Currently living and working in Kyiv. Engaged in oil painting and digital collages. In his work, Haida mainly deals with immersion in his own subconscious. The author depicts situations and ideas that emerge inside of him and, thanks to intuitive thinking, turns them into expressive artistic images. Haida’s art is foremost about how we register and comprehend our psyche indications.

Oleg Kalashnik is a Ukrainian artist. He works with decorative painting, sculpture (miniature and landscape gardening), and easel graphics. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2012). Member of the art restoration association “Red Horse”.

Oleg Kalashnik was born in the city of Akhtyrka, Sumy region. Graduated from Kharkiv Art School with a degree in graphic design (1998) and Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts with a degree in sculpture (2004). The artist’s works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Germany, France, Russia, Portugal, and the USA. He stays and works in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
