Rukh Art Hub presents “Golden Shadows” a new art show in NYC, featuring works by prominent Ukrainian contemporary artists – Tetiana Albitska-Kostomarova and Tata Kolesnik. The exhibition will be on display from September 12 to September 22 at Mriya Gallery – an art space that showcases Ukrainian art in NYC.
The layered nature of the exhibition transforms the showroom into a boundless space where each viewer can discover their own symbols and meanings found in the works of Tata Kolesnik and Tetiana Albitska-Kostomarova.

Tata Kolesnik
Tata Kolesnik is an artist from Kharkiv whose creative style can be described as “contemporary Renaissance art.” In 2022, Russia’s invasion forced her to leave home along with her two children. Now a refugee in Germany, Tata continues to create exquisite paintings that profess the power of women, delicately weaving traditional Ukrainian motifs into her masterful compositions influenced by the Italian Renaissance.

My art reflects my personal experience. In the process of creating, I delve into the collective unconscious and explore archetypes and symbols common to humanity. I use myths and fables to convey timeless themes and lessons. At the same time, my art celebrates life’s ordinary moments, motivating the viewer to seek the joy in everyday things. The theme of support and mutual assistance plays an important role in my work where I encourage my audience to strengthen bonds between people and explore interconnections that can span across time, people, and space.

Tetiana Albitska-Kostomarova
Ukrainian contemporary sculptor from Kharkiv. She graduated from the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts in 2003 with a degree in monumental sculpture. She works with natural and artificial stone, wood, bronze, and clay. The themes of womanhood and motherhood are the primary focus of her art.
Kostomarova has predominantly created miniature-sized sculptures. Her most recent series embody a harmonious blend of sophisticated volumetric modeling, lyrical elements, and subtle humor.
Through my art, I want to highlight how sensual and beautiful a woman is! How multifaceted she is! A woman is a portal for the soul to enter this world. I am convinced that she is the Creator’s most important creation! This is my mission!
